To achieve the above aforementioned aims, four research questions guided the study. A total of 212 staff were used as participants. A structured questionnaire designed by the researcher and titled: Information Needs of Academic Staff in Academic Library Questionnaire (INASALQ) was used as an instrument for data collection. The instrument was face validated by three experts. It was trial tested using 20 staff of academic library and its internal consistency was ascertained using Cronbach Alpha co-efficient statistical method. The result gave overall Alpha- co-efficient value of 0.87. The data collected was analyzed using mean, and standard deviation. The major findings revealed that awareness creation, seeking for knowledge exposure, capacity building, teaching, research, technological and e-library skills among others are the information needs of college Library staff (parents of children). It was also found that conference participations and training are not their information needs. The finding revealed that the college staff agreed that staff meeting, media, internet, academic discussion and conference are their source of information needs. It was found that the problems affecting the satisfaction of information needs of college Library staff are lack of awareness, infrastructural facilities, high cost of information materials, roads, financial incentives, fund, power supply and motivation. Teachers’ responsibilities are becoming increasingly challenging and demanding. This cross-sectional survey examined the demographic predictors of occupational stress and exposure to workplace psychosocial hazards among 254 primary school teachers. Two measurement tools were used to assess work-related stress and attendant psychosocial risks. Descriptive statistics and bivariate correlation analysis were employed to analyze the demographic characteristics of the participants and explore the relationships between these demographic factors, work-related stress, and psychosocial risks. The findings revealed a strong positive association between gender and teachers’ occupational stress. Additionally, working status, gender, and location showed a positive correlation with increased exposure to occupational psychosocial hazards among primary school teachers. Conversely, qualifications exhibited a negative and significant association with teachers’ exposure to psychosocial hazards at work. In conclusion, this study highlights a substantial increase in occupational stress for primary school teachers as they age and become more qualified. These findings suggest the need for educational policymakers in Nigerian school settings to address age, location, and working status discrimination to improve teachers’ well-being

Understanding Grade R teachers’ professional identities seems to be quite bleak because they are not sure where they feature in Primary schools or pre-primary schools. Their professional identities are in sport light due to the issue mentioned above.  This study explores Grade R teachers’ perceptions of their professional identity and qualifications. Grade R teachers’ professional identities are based on the collaboration between teacher education institutions and schools. However, this thinking tampers with what teaching practice is an essential prerequisite for what good teacher education requires. The study was underpinned by decoloniality theory and qualitative research within the interpretive paradigm. All the Grade R teachers participated in this study. Data was generated through semi-structured interviews. We divided the time into two hours per interview to generate data in two days to allow the teachers enough time to respond to the questions. Thematically the teachers’ voices were analyzed. The findings suggest that creating multifaceted images, community values, self-beliefs, and motivation can influence how teachers interpret their personal experiences in the program. Prominent among the results regarding the motivational aspects of teaching is a perception of the profession as granting intrinsic rewards. Teaching is perceived as, according to self-realization, providing a sense of purpose and mission and enabling lifelong development. The personal investment that is interwoven with their lived experiences before they enter the program is coupled with the three different forms of engagement, which are: participation, alignment, and imagination can translate to who they are as people that develop their identities in their career path and interactions in a teacher community at large
